Construction Labourer/Apprentice Carpenter opportunity

We have a great opportunity for someone looking to get into an apprenticeship as a Carpenter (we can support you with an apprenticeship program after a successful 3 month probationary period), you'll get to work on projects from start to finish and gain a diverse range of experience under the supervision of our Red Seal Carpenter.

What does the opportunity look like?

You'll be supporting construction projects from start to finish and meet deadlines to achieve quality work, inspections and working with other trade teams on the north side of Lethbridge. Our biggest project is a state of the art, unique and deep green (powered by solar panels and geothermal energy) commercial facility for one of our flagship pet hospitals. This position will be focused on a number of projects and has the potential to turn into a long term position.

•  Assisting our Carpenter (red seal) with construction related work
• Landscaping duties
• Concrete work
• There is a potential opportunity to assist with other duties that range from preventative maintenance on our equipment to operating heavy equipment (if you are certified and feel comfortable with operating them)
• General Construction and maintenance for our commercial project on the north side of Lethbridge
• Finishing carpentry

What are we looking for?

• 3 years of construction experience
• Experience with ICF block construction
• Safety related certifications would be an asset
• Familiar with operating heavy equipment would be preferred
